“I wanted to write a note on behalf of United Painting, who we had on the Spectrum Center Renovation doing the BP-09a drywall package on the Phase 5 project here in Charlotte. They did an outstanding job and I want other teams to know about them.

Phase 5 was a night and day double-shift job running about five months. It was one of the more demanding projects we have run in this market. UP had close to 150 people on site at peak and managed that workforce exceptionally well. Their foremen were visible, accountable, and the quality of work coming off the job reflected it. For a project moving that fast, the level of organization they maintained was impressive.

We also threw a few things at them mid-project. There was unfinished scope from Phase 3 the year before that needed to get picked up, and additional ACT work came online late. They took both on without flinching and kept pace with the schedule. The cold-formed metal framing scope on this job was genuinely complex work and they executed it well. They finished on time. On a job like this, that is not a small thing.
